The process for becoming a licensed insurance agent varies from state to state. Generally, most states will require the following:
- Taking an insurance license exam with an approved exam provider
- Submitting an application to your state insurance commissioner’s office with your exam scores
- Paying the required licensing fees to your state’s insurance commissioner’s office.
